Marriage & Changing Seasons

International House of Prayer, Kansas City  |

It has been an immense honor to serve the Lord alongside some of the most humble, kind, god-fearing people I’ve ever met here at ihopkc.  I came to KC in 2022 because the Lord gave me prophetic dreams, words and circumstantial evidence pointing clearly to His leading of my steps to be here.  Just 6 months later, in the middle of attending an 3-month internship, I was suddenly admitted to the hospital and almost died.  That’s another story for another day.

Two years later, I can confidently say the Lord has resurrected my body and my life.

Just one year later (one year and 7 days later), our ihopkc community entered into one of the most devastating, tumultuous seasons that threatened our friendship, faith and hope.  What remained was love -

God’s love for us

Love for God

Love for one another

It’s been my joy and privilege to have been invited to lead a worship team here for the past 7 months.  I started leading the team in April of 2024 and have grown to love my team dearly.  They are persevering, full of faith and are each unique songbirds of the Lord.  It’s been a joy to run and serve with them.

For this reason, it is with great sadness, and yet also great joy, I announce my final set as an evening worship leader at ihopkc will be this Monday, December 2nd at 6pm.

This is a sad occasion because this community is home to me.  Both my most costly, darkest season in life and my most fruitful season of life has been here in this community.  I will deeply miss them.  It’s also wonderfully joyful because I’m leaving KC to begin a new adventure of godly proportions: marriage

Ihopkc, you are loved.

Keep abiding in Jesus and embracing the first of refining as He fans the flames.  And let your love not grow cold.  He is faithful to the end.

“The Lord is good and His steadfast love endures forever.”  Psalm 136:1
