The glory of the Lord shines forth from His people.

Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will arise upon you,
and his glory will be seen upon you.

Isaiah 60

God’s promises, His very word, are incomparably more certain than anything we can fathom or grasp here on earth that is tangible. He has spoken and promised that His people will shine like light in darkness, that His glory, His holy and eternal light, will shine upon them.

Are you counted among His people?

Is His glory shining forth in and from your life? Can others see His glory in your life?

I pray the answer is yes, for me and my house.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God's glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

II Corinthians 4

Without being in Christ, what hope do we have of either receiving or reflecting the glory of God? None.

Is there anything hindering the love, work and ministry of God’s Spirit in your life? Hardness of heart, pride, bitterness, unbelief?

Repent.

Turn to the Lord, and surrender your all to Him - all of your heart, soul, mind and strength - to love Him. Ask for His help in this. His Holy Spirit is a gift from the Father to help us in our hour of greatest need. Our greatest need is to submit to God, resist the devil and live to Christ.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
